Whiteboard Online
A smart digital whiteboard for wireframing, flowcharts, and teaching. Draw shapes, freehand sketch, and use the undo function to perfect your ideas.
Drawing Tools
Stroke Settings

Quick answer
Pick a tool (Brush, Line, Rect, Circle or Eraser), choose a marker colour and a stroke width from 1 to 40px, then drag on the board to draw. Undo Last Step removes your most recent stroke or shape, up to about 20 steps back. Export Board saves everything as a PNG with a white background. This whiteboard online is free and works in your browser on desktop and touch screens.
A whiteboard is the fastest way to think with pictures. Boxes and arrows explain a process better than a long paragraph, and a quick sketch settles a layout question in seconds. The problem with a free-hand drawing app is that straight lines and neat shapes are hard to draw with a mouse.
This whiteboard online adds shape tools for exactly that reason. Lines, rectangles and circles come out clean every time, so flowcharts, wireframes and teaching diagrams look tidy without any design skill.
Whiteboard Tools
| Tool | How to draw | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Brush | Press and drag freely | Handwriting, arrows, ticks, quick notes |
| Line | Drag from start point to end point | Connectors, arrows, underlines |
| Rect | Drag from one corner to the opposite corner | Flowchart steps, wireframe boxes, buttons |
| Circle | Press at the centre and drag outward to set the size | Highlights, nodes, start and end points |
| Eraser | Drag over anything to paint it white | Fixing small mistakes |
How to Use the Whiteboard Online
The board opens blank and white with the Brush selected in dark navy at 4px. The example shows a small two-step flowchart.
Step 1: Choose a drawing tool: brush, line, rectangle or circle
Click a tool under Drawing Tools. While you drag a shape you see a live preview, and the shape is fixed in place when you release the mouse or lift your finger.

Step 2: Set the marker colour and stroke width
Click one of the five quick colours (navy, red, blue, green or amber) or use the colour bar for any other shade. Move the Stroke Width slider to make lines thinner or bolder. Both settings apply to the next thing you draw.

Step 3: Undo mistakes and export the board as PNG
Press Undo Last Step to remove the latest stroke or shape. Press it again to keep stepping back. When the board is ready, Export Board downloads a PNG named VectraTools-Whiteboard followed by a number. Clear Board wipes everything after you confirm.

How to Draw a Simple Flowchart
- Select Rect and draw a box for each step, leaving space between them.
- Use Circle for the start and end points.
- Select Line and join the shapes. Add two short lines at the end of each connector to make an arrow head.
- Switch to Brush with a thin stroke and write a word or two inside each box.
- Use one colour per type of step, such as green for actions and red for decisions.
Ideas for Using a Whiteboard Online
- Teaching. Draw diagrams, graphs and geometry shapes during a lesson or for homework.
- Website wireframes. Sketch headers, cards and buttons with rectangles before building a page.
- Meetings and planning. Map a process, share your screen and export the result for the notes.
- Brainstorming. Circle the main idea and draw lines out to related points.
Good to Know
The board does not save between visits, so export before you close the tab. Undo remembers roughly the last 20 actions. The eraser paints white rather than making the area transparent, which matches the white background of the exported image. The dotted grid you may see on the board is only a guide and does not appear in the PNG. For colourful sketches with a custom background, try the drawing pad online instead.
