How Many Words Do You Need?

A standard bingo card has 25 squares. The centre square is the free space, so you need at least 24 words to fill the card. If you add more than 24, the generator picks a random set each time, which means players get more varied cards and fewer people win at the same moment.

• 24 words: every card uses the same words in a different order.
• 30 to 40 words: good variety for a small group of 5 to 15 players.
• 50 or more words: best for large groups and classrooms.
