Quick answer

To use this mining profitability calculator, enter your total hashrate, the current daily revenue per hash unit (from your pool or a mining stats site), your miner's power draw in watts, your electricity price per kWh and the pool fee, then press Simulate Profitability. You get revenue, power cost, pool fee and net profit per day, week, month and year, plus the break-even electricity price. For example, 100 units earning $0.05 each at 3,000 W and $0.05/kWh with a 2% fee makes about $1.30 a day.

Mining only pays when the coins you earn are worth more than the electricity you burn. This free mining profitability calculator works out that balance for any coin and any machine, whether you run an ASIC for Bitcoin, a GPU rig or a small home setup.

It is deliberately flexible: you enter revenue per hash unit yourself, so it works with TH/s, GH/s or MH/s and with whatever your pool currently pays. I added a break-even electricity price line, which is the single most useful number when deciding whether a miner is worth running.

How to Use the Mining Profitability Calculator

Step 1: Enter hashrate and revenue per hash unit

Type your total hashrate in whatever unit you use, then the daily revenue for one unit of that hashrate in dollars. Your pool dashboard or a mining stats site shows the current figure, which changes with coin price and network difficulty.

Step 2: Add power use, electricity cost and pool fee

Enter your miner's power consumption in watts (from the spec sheet or a wall meter), your electricity price per kWh and your pool fee percentage. Then press Simulate Profitability.

Step 3: Read profit by period and the break-even power price

The results show revenue, power cost, pool fee and net profit for a day, week, month and year. Underneath, the break-even electricity price tells you the most you can pay per kWh before mining starts losing money.

How Mining Profit Is Calculated

  • Daily revenue = hashrate × revenue per unit.
  • Daily power cost = watts ÷ 1,000 × 24 × price per kWh.
  • Pool fee = daily revenue × fee %.
  • Net profit = revenue − power cost − pool fee.
  • Break-even price = revenue after fees ÷ kWh used per day.

Mining Profitability Calculator Tips

  • Measure real power at the wall; it is often higher than the spec sheet because of power supply losses.
  • Include cooling costs if you run fans or air conditioning for your miners.
  • Revenue per unit falls when network difficulty rises, so update it regularly.
  • Halving events cut block rewards and can halve revenue overnight.
  • Factor in the hardware cost to see how many months it takes to pay back.

What the Results Do Not Include

This mining profitability calculator assumes constant coin price, difficulty and block reward, and 100% uptime. It does not include hardware purchase price, maintenance, internet, taxes or hosting fees. Real results will differ, so treat it as a planning estimate rather than a guarantee or financial advice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this mining profitability calculator free?

Yes. It is free with no sign-up and works for any coin.

Where do I find revenue per hash unit?

Your mining pool dashboard or mining statistics websites show current earnings per TH/s, GH/s or MH/s per day.

How do I calculate mining electricity cost?

Multiply power in kilowatts by 24 hours and your price per kWh. A 3,000 W miner at $0.10/kWh costs $7.20 a day.

What is the break-even electricity price?

It is the electricity price at which revenue after pool fees exactly covers power costs. Above it, mining loses money.

Does it include hardware cost?

No. Add the hardware price separately and divide by monthly profit to estimate the payback period.

Why do real profits differ?

Coin prices and network difficulty change constantly, and downtime or extra cooling costs reduce actual profit.
