Dice Roller Online – Roll D6, D20 and Any RPG Dice
Dice Roller
Roll one or many dice online: classic six-sided dice or D4, D8, D10, D12, D20 and D100 for board games and RPGs

Quick answer
An online dice roller rolls virtual dice for you with a fair random result. Choose how many dice and which type, from classic six-sided dice to D20 and D100, or type dice notation such as 3d6+2, then click Roll dice. The tool shows each die, the total with any modifier, the highest and lowest roll, and a history of your rolls.
Our free dice roller is made for board games, Dungeons and Dragons and other tabletop RPGs, classroom probability lessons and quick decisions. It uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so every face has exactly the same chance, and you can press the space bar to roll again.

How to Use the Dice Roller
Step 1: Choose How Many Dice and the Type
Pick the number of dice, from 1 to 12, and the dice type, such as D6 or D20.

Step 2: Or Type Dice Notation Like 3d6+2
Type standard notation in the Notation box, or add a modifier, to roll exactly what your game asks for. Up to 50 dice are supported in notation.

Step 3: Click Roll Dice and See the Result
Click Roll dice or press the space bar. Six-sided dice show real pips and other dice show their number.

Step 4: Check the Total and Roll History
The cards show the total, the highest and lowest die and how many times you rolled. The history lists every roll in this session.

Game nights, D&D sessions on video calls and maths classes all benefit from a dice roller everyone can trust. Because this dice roller uses crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling, no number is more likely than another.
Dice Probability Basics
- Each face of a fair D6 has a 1 in 6 chance, about 16.7%.
- With two D6, 7 is the most common total (6 out of 36 combinations) and 2 and 12 are the rarest (1 in 36).
- A natural 20 on a D20 happens 5% of the time.
- Past rolls do not change future rolls. A die has no memory.
Dice Roller Tips
- Share your screen on video calls so other players can see each roll.
- Use the history to settle arguments about what was rolled.
- For advantage in D&D, roll 2d20 and use the higher number, shown in the Highest card.
