Income Tax Calculator 2026 – Take-Home Pay in 3 Easy Steps
Income Tax Calculator (2026-27)
Use this income tax calculator to estimate your tax and take-home salary instantly
Use this free income tax calculator to estimate the tax on your yearly salary and your take-home pay in five countries: the United States, India, the United Kingdom, Canada and Pakistan. Pick a country, enter your gross annual income and the tool shows your tax, effective tax rate and net pay per year and per month, using 2026 rules.
Quick answer
Choose your country, enter gross annual salary and press Calculate Net Income. For example, $75,000 in the US gives about $7,670 federal income tax (after the $16,100 standard deduction), ₹15 lakh in India gives ₹97,500 under the new regime, and Rs 2.4 million in Pakistan gives Rs 156,000 for tax year 2027.
Table of Contents
Income tax is progressive in all five countries: each slice of income is taxed at its own rate, so a pay rise never reduces your take-home pay overall. The tricky parts are the allowances, rebates and deductions that change every year. This income tax calculator builds those in so you get a realistic estimate in seconds.

Effective Rate vs Marginal Rate
Your marginal rate is the rate on your last rupee, dollar or pound of income. Your effective rate is total tax divided by total income, which is always lower. A US earner on $75,000 is in the 22% bracket but pays an effective 10.23% in federal income tax.
Tips
- Use your gross salary before any deductions.
- Add bonuses and overtime if you expect them during the year.
- For India, compare with the old regime if you claim large deductions.
- Check payslips: employers often withhold tax monthly, and a refund or balance may follow at year end.
