Common Mistakes When Converting CM to Feet
- Reading decimal feet as inches. 5.57 ft is not 5 ft 57 in or 5 ft 5.7 in. Multiply the decimal part by 12: 0.5774 × 12 = 6.93 in.
- Dividing by 30 instead of 30.48. It looks close, but 180 ÷ 30 gives 6.0 ft while the correct answer is 5.9055 ft, an error of more than an inch.
